Job Summary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to oversee the company's financial operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain regulatory compliance, and support effective financial decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on accounting experience within the polymer manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and reconciliations.
Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
Oversee inventory accounting and ensure accurate valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Perform cost accounting activities, including product costing and variance analysis.
Ensure timely preparation and filing of statutory tax returns and regulatory reports.
Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
Maintain compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support management decision-making.
Collaborate with production, procurement, and operations teams to improve cost efficiency and financial controls.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Professional certification (ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
3–5 years' accounting experience within the polymer manufacturing industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
Experience in manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management is highly required.
Proficiency in accounting software.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail, integrity, and organizational skills.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
SalaryN300,000 monthly Net.
