This opportunity is exclusively for internal applicants.

The Assistant Field Manager will contribute to a New Incentives program that leverages cash transfers to motivate mothers to complete their infants' immunization schedules. This initiative operates in collaboration with the State Primary Healthcare Development Board in NW & NE.
The main responsibility of the Assistant Field Manager is to support Field Managers in distributing cash transfers at public clinics, aiming to boost immunization coverage and retention. Key responsibilities for this role include: ensuring high-quality program operations at designated clinics and providing leadership to selected staff members, resulting in improved immunization coverage and retention while fostering relationships with employees, clinic staff, and other stakeholders.
Assistant Field Managers are employed full-time and oversee Field Officers at clinics throughout our operational states. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who primarily resides in or has access to free accommodation and is willing to relocate to one of the towns/LGAs in all states of operation.

Background:

In the past ten years, Nigeria has significantly expanded the availability of infant vaccination services. Despite this improvement in vaccine supply, the demand for vaccinations remains relatively low. New Incentives motivates caregivers to fully vaccinate their infants by offering cash transfers conditional on vaccinations, thereby ensuring their babies are protected against life-threatening diseases. The cash transfers enable mothers to afford transportation to the clinic and compensate for lost income.

Essential Qualifications:

Proficiency in local languages/dialects spoken in all operational states, particularly Hausa. In your cover letter, please list the languages/dialects you can speak and your proficiency level for each.
Minimum of ND, preferably in health or other natural sciences.
Willingness to work at remote public clinics and field locations for at least 4 days per week.
Familiarity with the Nigerian health system and clinic documentation, especially related to infant health and vaccinations.
Experience in collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from (health) data is advantageous.
Meticulous attention to financial matters and fund management.
Detail-oriented and diligent professional who is hardworking, results-driven, and loyal.
Passion for helping others and reducing infant mortality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hausa dialects (verbal and written).
Exceptional responsiveness to email and phone requests.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel, internet browsers, smartphones, and new communication technologies in general.
Motivation to work in a young, dynamic organization that constantly adapts based on stakeholder feedback and operates with a lean structure.
Ability to demonstrate strong managerial and leadership skills.
