Applicants must hold a minimum of a first degree in relevant disciplines from a recognized university. Acceptable qualifications include a B.Ed, B.Sc (Ed), or B.A. (Ed), or a B.A. or B.Sc with a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (P.G.D.E) or its equivalent. It is mandatory to possess a Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) Certificate/License. An NYSC discharge certificate or evidence of exemption is required. Candidates must have credits in five subjects (including English and Mathematics) in SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE 'O/L', obtained in no more than two sittings. Prior teaching experience in a secondary school setting is considered advantageous.
