Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
Support to the Accountant and Management
Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and prepare schedules required for financial reporting.
Prepare transaction summaries and supporting schedules as required.
Assist the Accountant with reconciliations audits and financial reviews.
Provide information and supporting documents to help resolve discrepancies.
Perform other bookkeeping duties assigned by the Accountant or Management.
Qualifications & Experience
HND or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
1 - 3 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Experience in a trading or inventory-based business is an advantage.
Good knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or bookkeeping software.
Experience handling high-volume daily transactions is an advantage.
Key Skills & Competencies:Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Strong bookkeeping and recordkeeping skills.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to accurately process high volumes of transactions.
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
Ability to identify and report discrepancies.
Integrity and reliabilty.
Good communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
