Job Title: Cashier
Location: Awka, Anambra

Role Overview
The Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, receiving payments, issuing receipts, maintaining proper cash records, and providing excellent customer service.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess cash, POS, bank transfers, and other customer payments accurately.
Issue receipts and invoices for completed transactions.
Maintain accurate records of daily sales and cash collections.
Balance the cash register and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.
Ensure all cash and payment transactions are properly accounted for.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve basic payment-related issues professionally.
Report discrepancies, shortages, or excess cash to the appropriate supervisor.
Safeguard cash, receipts, and other financial documents.
Support the sales team in ensuring smooth customer checkout and payment processes.
Comply with company policies and procedures relating to cash handling and financial controls.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Key Requirements
Minimum of an HND / B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience is an advantage.
Good numerical and basic accounting skills.
Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer applications.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
Ability to work under pressure and handle cash responsibly.
Good customer service orientation.
Female is preferred (for gender balance)
