We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Cashier
Location: Gwarimpa, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Process customer purchases accurately using the POS system.
Receive cash, card, transfer, and other approved payments and issue receipts.
Verify prices, discounts, promotions, and quantities before completing transactions.
Count and balance cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
Provide excellent customer service and respond professionally to customer enquiries.
Identify and report pricing discrepancies, damaged goods, suspected fraud, or irregular transactions.
Ensure no goods leave the checkout area without proper payment or authorization.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional checkout station.
Follow all company procedures regarding refunds, voids, discounts, transfers, and cancellations.
Safeguard cash, POS equipment, receipts, and other company property under their custody.
Submit accurate end-of-shift cash and sales reports to the Head Cashier/Supervisor.
Cooperate with Audit, Accounts, Security, and Operations during checks and investigations.
Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
Perform any other duties assigned by management relevant to the position.
QualificationsCandidates should possess a First School Leaving Certificate with 2 years experience.
