Role Overview

The Cashier is tasked with overseeing all customer transactions at the point of sale in a precise, efficient, and cordial manner.
This position is crucial in delivering a positive shopping experience, ensuring proper handling of payments, and maintaining financial accuracy in a dynamic retail setting.

Primary Duties

Execute sales transactions swiftly and accurately using the POS system.
Process cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, and refunds in accordance with company policies.
Provide receipts, gift cards, and invoices to customers as needed.
Verify the cash register balance at the start and end of each shift.
Address basic product inquiries from customers or direct them to sales staff when necessary.
Uphold a tidy, organized, and professional checkout area.
Work in tandem with the sales and inventory teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Promptly report any discrepancies, suspicious transactions, or system issues to management.
Adhere to all security, financial, and customer service protocols.
Assist with stocktaking, packaging, and occasional floor duties when required.

Qualifications

Minimum of SSCE / OND qualification; additional training in retail or finance is beneficial
At least 1 year of prior experience as a cashier or in a customer-facing role is preferred
Familiarity with gadgets, electronics, or phone accessories is advantageous
Willingness to work weekends as required.
