Small Mammal Conservation Organization (SMACON) is a non-governmental organization committed to the protection of small mammals and their habitat through evidence-based conservation that safeguards local livelihoods. We work with local, regional and international partners to deploy SMACON's mission. We are looking for passionate individuals who are dedicated to the documentation and protection of biodiversity in Nigeria, the Gulf of Guinea Islands, and supporting our network of partners across West Africa. We are recruiting to fill the position below

Job Title: Communications Manager

Location: Calabar, Cross River

Employment type: Full-time Responsibilities

Develop and lead communications strategy. Oversee and manage multimedia content across digital platforms, including website, social media, and newsletters. Coordinate key publications, including annual reports. Grant and proposal writing.

Qualification

At least a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Biological Sciences, or a related discipline and experience in Science Communications.

Skills / Experience:

Strong science communication skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Basic multimedia management and production skills.
