Job Purpose
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Community Engagement & Communications Intern to support our team. The intern will play a key role in supporting community engagement efforts, communication workflows, and content preparation. This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated individual seeking hands-on experience in health innovation, digital community building, and program communication.
Duties and Responsibilities
Content Support
Support with designing basic visual assets using tools like Canva.
Produce summaries and extract key highlights from key events, including recorded event videos for documentation and social media repurposing.
Draft engaging content for social media, blog outlines, articles, and newsletter.
Plan schedules and coordinate stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of the founder spotlight video sessions.
Support the development of event communications briefs and facilitate communication with the Practice comms Account Officer.
Support internal documentation of activities, including photo curation, interviews, testimonials, and progress logs.
Community Management
Maintain and update the stakeholder database, ensuring accurate records of startups, experts, and partners.
Analyse post-event feedback and metrics to identify engagement trends.
Support in community engagement across dedicated community channels.
Track and log outreach efforts and responses (e.g. speaker invitations, follow-up emails).
Assist in managing digital communities (e.g., mailing lists, WhatsApp groups) to promote dialogue and exchange.
Monitor trends and topics of interest within the Health Teach innovation and ADEIN community and recommend content or events that reflect community needs.
Support planning and coordination of stakeholder engagement activities, including webinars, workshops, meetups and innovation showcases.
Administrative & Coordination Support
Support with scheduling, calendar invites, and documentation for internal/external meetings
Compile post-event reports with participant lists, key takeaways, and next steps
Monitor shared inboxes and flag priority emails or inquiries.
Assist in coordinating logistics for events and campaigns.
Support cross-functional collaboration across other CcHUB practices as required
Provide scheduled updates and contribute to internal meetings.
Key Competencies /Qualifications
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and Zoom
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Basic Canva skills (a plus, but not required)
Interest or background in community engagement, social innovation, or public health
Previous internship or volunteer experience in similar roles is an advantage
Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, English, Public Relations, Sociology, Marketing or related fields.
