Job Title: Cost Accountant

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Reporting To: Finance Manager

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Accountant to join our team in Ibadan.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and analyzing production costs to ensure accurate product pricing and support effective financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze costs of raw materials, labor, and overhead to determine unit product cost.
• Conduct variance analysis between actual and standard costs.
• Monitor inventory and perform periodic stock reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly cost reports.
• Support budgeting and cost standard development.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and work with procurement/production teams.
• Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory standards.
• Assist in pricing decisions for new and existing products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in a cost accounting role (preferably in manufacturing/FMCG).
• Strong knowledge of costing principles and inventory control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Professional certification (e.g. ICAN, CMA) is an added advantage.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 / Month.
