Job Title: Diesel Dispenser Operator

The Diesel Dispenser Operator will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of diesel to company vehicles, generators, production equipment, and plant machinery. The role involves monitoring diesel consumption, maintaining dispensing equipment, keeping accurate fuel records, preventing fuel losses, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards within the cashew processing facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting uninterrupted plant operations by ensuring proper fuel management and accountability at all times.
Dispense diesel accurately to generators, trucks, forklifts, plant equipment, and company vehicles. Verify fuel requests and ensure diesel is issued only to authorized personnel and equipment. Maintain accurate records of fuel issued, including quantity, date, equipment, and operator details. Monitor diesel stock levels and promptly report low inventory levels.
Conduct daily diesel stock measurements and reconciliations. Monitor fuel consumption patterns and report any unusual variances or discrepancies. Assist in receiving diesel deliveries and verify quantities supplied by vendors. Maintain proper documentation of fuel receipts, issues, and stock balances.
Inspect diesel dispensing pumps, meters, hoses, tanks, and accessories regularly. Report defects, leakages, or malfunctioning dispensing equipment for immediate repairs. Ensure the dispensing area and fuel storage facilities are clean and well-maintained. Support routine maintenance activities on fuel dispensing systems.
Adhere strictly to HSE policies, fire safety regulations, and environmental standards. Ensure proper handling and storage of diesel to prevent contamination, spills, and losses. Maintain firefighting equipment in the fuel dispensing area and report deficiencies. Follow established safety procedures during fuel transfer and dispensing operations. Participate in safety drills, toolbox talks, and risk assessment activities.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fuel consumption reports. Maintain accurate fuel logs and inventory records. Support audits by providing relevant fuel management documentation. Ensure all dispensing activities are properly recorded and documented.
Minimum of OND, SSCE, or equivalent qualification. Technical or vocational certification is an added advantage. Minimum of 2-3 years' experience operating diesel dispensing systems, fuel stations, fuel depots, industrial facilities, or manufacturing environments.
