Beautiful Beginning Academy is seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Economics Teacher to join our secondary school team. The ideal candidate should be committed to delivering engaging lessons, inspiring students, and preparing them for academic excellence.
Job DescriptionThe Economics Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality Economics lessons in line with the Nigerian secondary school curriculum, while fostering critical thinking, financial literacy, and excellent academic performance among students.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeach Economics to Junior and Senior Secondary School students.
Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials.
Deliver engaging and interactive classroom lessons.
Assess, record, and evaluate students' academic performance regularly.
Prepare students for internal and external examinations (WAEC, NECO, etc.).
Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
Participate in staff meetings, school activities, and professional development programmes.
Communicate effectively with school management and parents regarding students' progress when required.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Economics, Education (Economics), or a related field.
A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a secondary school.
Strong knowledge of the Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to use modern teaching methods and educational technology.
TRCN certification is an added advantage.
Must be passionate about teaching and student development.
