The Senior Associate, Employee Relations Partner is an experienced case management specialist and subject matter expert responsible for maintaining fair, compliant, and high performance workplace culture. This role exists to ensure that employee relations (ER) practices not only mitigate risks but also strengthen trust, engagement, and organizational integrity across Moniepoint’s global operations. Beyond case management, the Senior Associate, ER Partner shall provide on the ground reference point for process and quality questions on conflict resolution, policy interpretation and culture alignment. The role requires sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to balance empathy with fairness, so that leaders and HRBPs can rely on clear, well-reasoned guidance grounded in both compliance and Moniepoint's values.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide expert guidance on disciplinary actions, grievances, investigations, and terminations, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and internal policies. Serve as a trusted voice of objectivity, balancing employee advocacy and organizational needs in every decision. Partner with leaders, HRBPs, and Legal teams to resolve complex employee relations cases with fairness, consistency, and business alignment. Support change management initiatives and culture programs that foster open communication, inclusion, and psychological safety. Analyze ER trends, patterns, and case data to identify root causes, drive preventive strategies, and inform policy Updates. Support the ER Partner in preparing data and reporting for ER metrics, trend analysis, and management reviews. Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records and ensure documentation meets the standard required for internal audit, appeal, or external legal challenge. Liaise with Legal, Internal Control, Compliance, and other functions on case-specific matters, escalating appropriately per the established escalation framework.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. 3–5 years of progressive HR or Employee Relations experience, including direct case management in a complex regulated environment. Strong knowledge of labor laws and employment practices, with exposure to multiple geographies considered an advantage. Proving experience managing investigations, conflict resolution, and policy enforcement. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, well-organised case documentation under time pressure. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders confidently.
Professional certification in progress or completed (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, or relevant Legal/ER specialization). Experience in fintech, banking, or other high-growth, multi-entity organizations. Familiarity with case management or HRIS platforms used to track disciplinary and grievance matters.
You’re calm, objective, and grounded — even in high-stakes situations. You balance empathy with fairness and have strong judgment on what’s “right” versus what’s “easy.” You communicate with clarity and confidence, building trust at every level. You think systemically — you see patterns behind cases and design solutions that prevent recurrence. You value compliance but see your role as enabling business success, not blocking it.
What Success Looks Like
You are recognized as a trusted advisor by business and HR leaders on complex ER and compliance matters. Consistent, fair, and timely resolution of employee relations issues across all entities. Reduced recurrence of ER incidents through proactive coaching, early intervention, and data-led prevention. Enhanced ER literacy among managers and HRBPs through structured education and guidance. Policies and practices are perceived as clear, fair, and aligned with Moniepoint’s culture and legal standards.
