Job Summary
We are seeking a technically competent, experienced, and safety-conscious Engineer with hands-on experience in HVAC/AC systems to supervise and coordinate a team of HVAC technicians.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing maintenance and repair activities, ensuring quality service delivery, coordinating technicians, monitoring technical operations, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.
Candidates with a background in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering are encouraged to apply, provided they have relevant HVAC/AC experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate HVAC/AC technicians in carrying out installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems and equipment.
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with technical specifications and required quality standards.
Diagnose complex HVAC-related technical issues and provide appropriate solutions.
Provide technical guidance and support to technicians during field operations.
Allocate tasks to technicians and monitor their performance and productivity.
Ensure maintenance activities are completed within agreed timelines.
Review technicians’ reports and ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities.
Monitor the condition and performance of HVAC systems and recommend necessary repairs, replacements, or improvements.
Coordinate site inspections and technical assessments where required.
Ensure proper use, maintenance, and availability of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
Prepare technical reports and provide regular updates to management on ongoing activities.
Liaise with clients and other stakeholders on technical and maintenance matters when required.
Ensure all HVAC activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures, technical standards, and safety requirements.
Identify potential operational risks and implement appropriate corrective measures.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
Ensure strict compliance with company HSE policies and procedures.
Conduct or support safety inspections at work locations.
Ensure technicians use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Promote safe working practices during HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
Identify and report hazards, incidents, and near misses.
Ensure technicians comply with applicable safety regulations and work procedures.
Maintain appropriate HSE documentation and records.
RequirementsBachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
Proven hands-on experience in HVAC/AC installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs is mandatory.
Previous experience supervising or managing HVAC/AC technicians.
Must possess relevant HSE certification.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, maintenance procedures, and technical troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Good reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant technical tools is an added advantage.
Ability to work effectively in a field-based and fast-paced environment.
