Job Description
Lajfort Schools is seeking a qualified and passionate English Language Teacher to join our secondary school located in Iju, Ota, Ogun State.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, developing students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, and preparing students for internal and external examinations.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeach English Language to junior and/or senior secondary school students
Prepare lesson plans in line with the approved curriculum
Assess, record, and report students’ academic progress
Prepare students for examinations (WAEC/NECO as applicable)
Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school activities
Support students’ academic and moral development
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in English
Bachelor of Science/Arts (B.Sc/B.A) in English or a related field with PGDE
TRCN certification is an added advantage
Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a secondary school (preferred)
Strong command of spoken and written English
Good classroom management and communication skills
Basic ICT skills and knowledge of modern teaching methods.
