Summary
We are currently seeking a smart, customer-friendly, and experienced Barista to join our team in Ikoyi Lagos.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving quality beverages, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the smooth daily operations of the café.
Job DescriptionThe Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and drinks in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner.
They are key to creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers and ensuring exceptional service per the Company standards.
ResponsibilitiesBeverage and Food Preparation:Prepare and serve various hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, according to standardized recipes.
Ensure all drinks are presented neatly and served fresh.
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all items served.
Customer Service:Greet customers warmly and take their orders with a positive attitude.
Provide menu suggestions and answer customer questions about ingredients and preparation methods.
Handle customer complaints or inquiries politely and resolve issues promptly.
Hygiene and Cleanliness:Good grooming and professional appearance
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including counters, machines, and utensils.
Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation.
Conduct regular cleaning of equipment and the café area to meet hygiene standards.
Inventory and Supplies:Monitor stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
Notify management of low stock or equipment maintenance needs.
Assist in restocking shelves and organizing storage areas.
Team Collaboration:Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Support other team members when needed, including assisting with opening or closing duties.
Attend team meetings and training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
QualificationsMinimum of an SSCE or equivalent.
Prior experience as a barista is mandatory.
Skills and Competencies:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
Attention to detail and a passion for delivering quality service.
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques.
Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar hospitality/customer service role is an added advantage
Strong customer service orientation.
Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periods.
Capability to lift and carry items up to 15 kg (e.g., coffee supplies or equipment).
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Work Hours:Flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
SalaryN150,000 - N200,000 monthly.
