Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Factory Operations Manager to lead and oversee all manufacturing operations within our FMCG production facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving production efficiency, ensuring product quality, optimizing resource utilization, maintaining safety standards, and delivering operational excellence across the factory.
The ideal candidate must possess substantial experience in FMCG manufacturing and demonstrate a strong understanding of production processes, quality systems, inventory management, maintenance planning, and workforce management. Experience in the manufacturing of chemical-based consumer products such as detergents, soaps, cleaning agents, personal care products, paints, adhesives, or similar products will be an added advantage.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee all factory operations to ensure the achievement of production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and business objectives.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all quality, health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and optimize the utilization of manpower, machinery, raw materials, and utilities.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to ensure seamless production operations.
Analyze operational performance and implement corrective actions to address production challenges.
Lead, coach, and develop production and operational teams to achieve high-performance standards.
Prepare and present periodic operational reports, KPIs, and improvement recommendations to management.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 8 years' experience in FMCG manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a factory management or senior production leadership role.
Proven track record of managing end-to-end factory operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of production planning, quality management systems, maintenance management, inventory control, and workplace safety standards.
Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, TPM, Six Sigma, or similar operational excellence initiatives.
Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and manufacturing performance monitoring tools.
Experience managing batch processing, formulation-based production, and chemical handling procedures will be highly advantageous.
