Job Summary
We are seeking a competent and proactive Farm Veterinarian to oversee the health, welfare, and productivity of poultry operations.
The ideal candidate will ensure optimal bird performance through proper disease prevention, treatment, and biosecurity management.
Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage the health status of birds across all pens
Develop and implement vaccination and medication schedules
Diagnose and treat diseases promptly to reduce mortality
Ensure strict biosecurity measures are maintained on the farm
Supervise farm attendants on proper animal handling and hygiene practices
Maintain accurate health and treatment records
Advise management on best practices for improving bird performance and productivity
# Work closely with operations to ensure optimal feeding and environmental conditions.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine or related fields
2 - 4 years of experience in poultry or livestock management
Strong knowledge of poultry diseases and farm biosecurity
Ability to work independently and make quick, informed decisions
High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Must be proactive, reliable, and hands-on.
Salary / Benefits
Salary: N200,000 - N250,000 / month.
