Small Mammal Conservation Organization (SMACON) is a non-governmental organization committed to the protection of small mammals and their habitat through evidence-based conservation that safeguards local livelihoods. We work with local, regional and international partners to deploy SMACON's mission. We are looking for passionate individuals who are dedicated to the documentation and protection of biodiversity in Nigeria, the Gulf of Guinea Islands, and supporting our network of partners across West Africa. Job Title: Field Officer / Coordinator

Reports to: Programs Managers Job Description and Responsibilities
Supervise Forest Guardians and Data Technicians in Boki Supervise field-based alternative livelihood teams Conduct supervised field surveys and Collect monitoring and evaluation data Facilitate community engagement and education efforts
Qualifications and Experience
A Degree in Zoology, Biological Sciences, and other related disciplines Proper business English, punctuation, spelling, and grammatical usage. Ability to lead a team. Dynamic and able to quickly learn new skills. Must reside in Cross River State, and be ready to spend extensive time in the field (Afi Mountain and Cross River National Park).
