Job Title: Field Sales Representative
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
The Field Sales Representative is responsible for driving active sales, product distribution, and brand visibility within their assigned territory.
The role focuses on aggressive market penetration, building strong retail relationships, generating orders, and achieving assigned revenue targets to expand the commercial footprint across key Lagos market hubs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver assigned monthly sales, distribution, and market penetration targets within the designated territory.
Build, maintain, and manage strong, long-term relationships with key open-market traders, wholesalers, and retailers.
Actively prospect for new retail outlets, negotiate orders, ensure consistent product supply, and facilitate accurate payment reconciliations.
Gather and report field intelligence, competitor pricing, market trends, and customer feedback to the Assistant Sales Manager.
Ensure proper merchandising, product display, and shelf positioning of our products across retail shops.
Execute daily route plans efficiently and submit timely reports on field activities and performance.
RequirementsMinimum of an OND, HND, or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant field sales experience, specifically within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
A strong, practical understanding of the Lagos open-market landscape and distribution channels (familiarity with Oke-Arin, Trade Fair, Agege, or Ipaja is a distinct advantage).
Strong negotiation, persuasive, and customer relationship management skills.
Proven ability to work independently, manage routes effectively, and meet/exceed assigned sales targets.
