 Job Title: General Manager

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the company, including production, business development, finance, administration, operations, customer service, and staff management. The person must have strong leadership skills and experience in manufacturing, preferably in smartcard production or related industries. The ideal candidate should be able to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain high production standards.

Oversee the daily operations of the company. Ensure smooth coordination between all departments. Develop and implement business strategies to improve company performance. Monitor company goals and ensure targets are achieved. Prepare operational reports for management.

Supervise smartcard manufacturing processes to ensure quality and efficiency. Ensure production targets are met within approved timelines. Work closely with production, QC/QA, and engineering teams to reduce downtime and wastage. Ensure compliance with manufacturing and quality standards.

Identify new business opportunities and partnerships. Develop strategies to increase sales and company revenue. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders. Support contract negotiations and customer retention efforts.

Work with the finance team to monitor budgets and expenses. Ensure proper cost control and efficient use of company resources. Monitor profitability and suggest areas for improvement.

Supervise and manage department heads and staff performance. Ensure discipline, teamwork, and accountability across departments. Support recruitment, training, and staff development. Drive a performance based work culture.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations. Maintain high quality standards in production and service delivery. Ensure operational risks are properly managed.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration,  Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Management, or related field. Minimum of 7 years working experience, with at least3 years in a management position. Experience inmanufacturing, preferably insmartcard production, printing, security printing, card personalization, fintech, telecommunications, or related industries. A Master’s degree or professional certification will be an added advantage. Strong leadership and people management skills. Good knowledge of manufacturing operations and process improvement. Good understanding of budgeting, operations, and business management. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Good communication and report writing skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
