 Job Title: Graduate Trainee (Assembly Supervisor)

We are seeking a motivated, disciplined, and career-driven Graduate Trainee to join our Assembly Department. This opportunity is designed for a young professional who is interested in building a long-term career in manufacturing, production supervision, factory operations, team management, quality control, and process improvement. The successful candidate will receive practical exposure to our production and assembly operations while working closely with experienced supervisors and production personnel.


Key Responsibilities

Assist in supervising and coordinating assembly line activities. Monitor workers and ensure assigned production tasks are carried out effectively. Support the achievement of daily production targets and departmental objectives. Ensure employees comply with company policies, SOPs, safety requirements, and production procedures. Monitor product quality and promptly report defects or production abnormalities. Assist with manpower allocation and effective deployment of workers. Monitor attendance, punctuality, discipline, and productivity within the assigned work area. Assist in maintaining accurate production and operational records. Identify production challenges and escalate issues to the appropriate supervisor or management. Support proper housekeeping and 5S practices within the production area. Work with Quality Control, Maintenance, Production, and other relevant departments to resolve operational issues. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency. Perform other duties assigned by the Production Supervisor or Management.


Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or HND in  Engineering, Industrial Production, Manufacturing, Sciences, Management, or any other relevant discipline. Must have successfully completed NYSC. 0–2 years of work experience, preferably with some exposure to supervisory, production, factory, or team-coordination responsibilities. Previous experience in a plastic manufacturing company as a Supervisor, Factory Helper, Production Assistant, Team Lead, or similar position will be an added advantage. Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good leadership and people-management potential. Ability to work with minimal supervision and take responsibility for assigned tasks. Good numerical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities. Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office will be an advantage. Must be physically and mentally prepared to work in a factory/production environment. Must be willing to work shifts and extended hours when operational requirements demand. Must demonstrate discipline, punctuality, integrity, accountability, and willingness to learn.
