Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Cook to join our hotel’s kitchen team.
The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals, ensuring that all dishes meet the hotel’s standards for taste, presentation, and hygiene.
This role is essential for providing a memorable dining experience for our guests.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the hotel’s menu and recipes.
Assist the Chef in planning daily menus and specials.
Ensure proper portioning and plating of meals for consistent presentation.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
Follow food safety and hygiene standards in handling, storing, and preparing food.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify the Chef or Supervisor when supplies need replenishing.
Minimize food wastage and assist with inventory control.
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Assist with catering for events, banquets, and room service as required.
Perform any other kitchen-related duties assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
RequirementsPossess an NCE, OND, or SSCE with at least 1 – 2 years of experience as a Cook, preferably in a hotel or restaurant environment.
Basic knowledge of various cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders at once.
Strong attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for food preparation.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
