Job Title: Inventory / DMS Officer
Location: Akure, Ondo
Employment Type: Full-time About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Inventory / DMS Officer to support our warehouse and distribution operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock movement, updating the DMS/inventory system, and ensuring that physical stock aligns with system records.
Receive, verify, record and document incoming stock. Monitor and accurately record all stock movements, including receipts, transfers, dispatches and returns. Update the DMS/inventory management system in real time. Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with system records. Identify and report stock discrepancies, damages, shortages or excesses. Maintain proper documentation for all warehouse transactions. Monitor stock levels and report low-stock or critical inventory items. Ensure proper labelling, arrangement and storage of inventory. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports. Work closely with the warehouse, logistics, sales and accounts teams to ensure smooth stock movement. Support stock audits and inventory verification exercises. Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures and inventory control policies.
OND, HND or B.Sc. in Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field. 1–2 years of experience in inventory, warehouse, storekeeping or distribution operations is an advantage. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience with DMS, ERP or inventory management software is an added advantage. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping ability. Good communication and organisational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Must be reliable, honest and accountable.
