Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and competent Home Economics / Fashion Design & Garment Making Teacher to teach junior-class students.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Home Economics and practical skills in Fashion Design and Garment Making, with the ability to deliver both theoretical and practical lessons effectively.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeach Home Economics to junior-class students in line with the school curriculum.
Deliver practical lessons in Fashion Design and Garment Making.
Teach basic sewing techniques, garment construction, fabric handling, measurements, and finishing.
Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, and practical activities.
Assess and monitor students' academic and practical progress.
Encourage students to develop creativity and practical skills.
Maintain proper records of attendance, assessments, and student performance.
Maintain good classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
Ensure proper use and care of sewing equipment and other teaching materials.
Participate in school meetings, training, and extracurricular activities.
Candidate Requirements
HND / B.Sc in Home Economics, Education, Fashion Design, or a related field.
2–3 years of relevant teaching experience.
Strong knowledge of Home Economics, Fashion Design, and Garment Making.
Good practical sewing and garment-construction skills.
Ability to teach both theoretical and practical aspects effectively.
Good communication and classroom-management skills.
Patient, creative, responsible, and well-organized.
Passion for teaching and developing students' practical skills.
SalaryN80,000 – N100,000 per month.
