Job Summary
TAAS Group of Schools, Ibadan is seeking a competent, proactive, and experienced Maintenance & Facilities Officer to oversee the maintenance, safety, and functionality of the school’s facilities and equipment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate the maintenance of school buildings, classrooms, offices, laboratories, and other facilities.
Conduct routine inspections and ensure facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Monitor and maintain electrical, plumbing, water supply, and other utility systems.
Coordinate repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance activities.
Supervise artisans, technicians, and external contractors when necessary.
Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and facility inspections.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Monitor facility-related expenses and recommend cost-effective solutions.
Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and operational issues.
Support management in planning and executing facility improvement projects.
RequirementsMinimum of HND, B.Sc., or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Technology, Estate Management, or a related discipline.
4–7 years of proven experience in maintenance and facilities management.
Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building maintenance systems.
Good problem-solving, organizational, and supervisory skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks effectively.
Proficiency in record-keeping and reporting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must reside in Ibadan or be willing to relocate to Ibadan.
SalaryN80,000 - N90,000 Monthly.
