Job Title: Mechanical Execution Coordinator

Ensure completion of mechanical maintenance jobs with the highest level of quality, safety and effectiveness at minimum cost to maximise equipment availability. Apply preventive and predictive maintenance practices and contribute to their improvement.
Coordinate daily, weekly and shutdown maintenance activities to ensure all mechanical jobs are executed efficiently, with an execution-quality mindset, to minimise disruption to production across all shop equipment in the plant. Ensure strict adherence to preventive maintenance schedules weekly in the Quarry, Raw Mill, Kiln, Alternative Fuel, Coal, Cement Mill, Packing Plant and Utility Shop, and continuously improve PM strategies in the plant. Review daily inspection feedback from patrollers/inspectors, prioritise and schedule work orders from the CMMS weekly, and ensure all tasks are clearly executed weekly to achieve a target of above 90%. Ensure all jobs are executed based on approved maintenance procedures. Lead rapid responses to mechanical breakdowns, ensuring root causes are addressed and recurrence is eliminated. Provide hands-on support and guidance for complex mechanical issues in the Quarry, Raw Mill, Kiln, Alternative Fuel, Coal, Cement Mill, Packing Plant and Utility Shop daily. Ensure the availability of manpower, tools, spares and consumables for the team before job execution, and optimise resource utilisation across all shops in the plant to avoid idle time. Ensure all required tools, lifting equipment and special devices are available, inspected and fit for purpose before execution. Drive technical initiatives that will ensure 100% equipment reliability through proactive maintenance, condition monitoring and timely intervention. Identify improvement opportunities using reliability tools such as Pareto and RCA to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime. Work closely with mechanical planners across all shops and Production Coordinators to align maintenance schedules with operational requirements and minimise production losses. Plan and coordinate major shutdowns, ensuring all mechanical activities are scoped, resourced and completed within schedule and budget. Collaborate with Stores and the Mechanical Manager to maintain minimum inventory levels of critical spares and eliminate stock-outs. Monitor maintenance costs, control expenditures on maintenance services and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising equipment reliability. Coordinate and supervise external contractors, ensuring compliance with scope, safety standards and task execution quality. Work closely with all Shop Sectional Engineers and assigned resources daily on areas of maintenance needs, and supervise technicians and craftsmen, ensuring competency, productivity and continuous team skill development. Track and report key maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, NAI, NSFI, schedule compliance and work order backlog. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, failures and improvements to support audits and continuous learning. Communicate clearly information relating to potentially dangerous situations and obtain confirmation that they are correctly understood. Ensure the use of Personal Protective Equipment among the team. Check for safety and cleanliness across the plant. Ensure all mechanical activities comply with Huaxin HSE standards, including permit-to-work systems, risk assessments and safe execution practices daily. Participate in the Plant Improvement Plan (PIP).
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years’ post-graduation experience in mechanical maintenance execution. Proficiency in the use of maintenance tools such as SAP.
Good knowledge of cement manufacturing processes. Good knowledge of safety laws and regulations. Good written and verbal communication skills. Excellent leadership and administrative skills. Good knowledge of reliability-based maintenance practices. Good problem-solving skills through root cause failure analysis.
