Job Title: Mechanical Technician
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Purpose
To carry out the repair and maintenance of all mechanical equipment and ensure the effective utilization of mill capacity through efficient preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
The Job
Carrying out preventive maintenance activities on all mechanical machinery and equipment to ensure smooth production operations.
Performing predictive maintenance checks to identify and resolve potential equipment failures before breakdowns occur.
Executing repairs on motors, pumps, conveyors, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
Supervising and coordinating mechanical maintenance activities during assigned shifts.
Conducting routine inspections of mechanical equipment and reporting abnormalities promptly.
Troubleshooting mechanical faults and implementing timely corrective actions.
Monitoring machine performance to ensure optimum operational efficiency and mill capacity utilization.
Collaborating with Production and other stakeholders to support uninterrupted plant operations.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and supporting the implementation of maintenance schedules.
Ensuring compliance with safety procedures, engineering standards, and any other duties assigned by Management.
Qualification and Experience
Minimum of Trade Test certification or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of one (1) year cognate experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
The Person Must:
Possess strong technical knowledge of mechanical maintenance and industrial equipment.
Demonstrate good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Have the ability to coordinate maintenance activities effectively.
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate supervisory and team management capabilities.
