We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Job Summary

• We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Technician to join our production team in Sagamu. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing mechanical systems and equipment used in plastic bottle manufacturing.
• This position requires technical expertise in mold changing, mechanical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to ensure efficient and uninterrupted production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of mechanical equipment and production lines.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults on blow molding and injection molding machines promptly.
• Perform mold installation, removal, and adjustments to meet production requirements and minimize downtime.
• Support production teams during equipment setup and changeovers to ensure smooth operation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and spare parts usage records.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety standards and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with the electrical and production departments to enhance machine performance and reliability.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum qualification: Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in the plastic bottle manufacturing industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, blow molding, and injection molding processes.
• Demonstrated proficiency in mold changing and mechanical fault diagnosis.
• Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Must be able to work in Sagamu and willing to work in shifts as required.
