They are seeking a competent, compassionate, and patient-focused Medical Officer to provide quality medical care to employees, guests, visitors, and other individuals requiring medical attention. The successful candidate will support the delivery of prompt clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, emergency care, preventive healthcare, and appropriate referrals. The role requires sound clinical judgment, strong communication skills, professionalism, and a commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and quality healthcare delivery. Provide medical consultations and appropriate clinical care to employees, guests, visitors, and other individuals requiring medical attention. Conduct patient assessments, physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. Take and review patients' medical histories, symptoms, vital signs, and other relevant clinical information. Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments in line with approved clinical guidelines and professional standards. Provide immediate first aid and initial medical management during emergencies and arrange appropriate escalation or referral when required. Manage common acute and chronic medical conditions and monitor patients' progress. Request and interpret relevant laboratory investigations and diagnostic tests. Refer patients to hospitals, specialists, or other healthcare providers when further evaluation or advanced care is required. Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care. Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient medical records. Support health screening, wellness activities, vaccination programs, and other preventive healthcare initiatives. Provide health education and promote healthy practices among employees and guests. Support occupational health and workplace health and safety initiatives. Assist in monitoring medical supplies, medications, equipment, and other clinical resources. Follow established clinical procedures, infection prevention practices, and emergency response protocols. Collaborate with Human Resources, Health & Safety, management, nursing staff, and other relevant teams on health-related matters. Prepare medical reports, patient summaries, and other clinical documentation as required. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with applicable healthcare laws, ethical standards, and organizational policies. Participate in continuous professional development and remain updated on relevant clinical guidelines and best practices. Perform other relevant clinical duties assigned by the Medical Director or Head of Medical Services.
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or an equivalent recognized medical qualification. Successfully completed the mandatory housemanship training in Nigeria. Fully registered and licensed to practice medicine in Nigeria with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). 0–2 years of post-qualification clinical experience. Sound knowledge of general medical practice, patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. Good clinical reasoning, judgment, and decision-making skills. Ability to provide appropriate initial management of common medical conditions and emergencies and escalate cases when required. Good communication, interpersonal, and patient management skills. Strong understanding of medical ethics, patient confidentiality, infection prevention, and professional standards. Ability to work collaboratively with nurses, healthcare professionals, management, and other relevant stakeholders. Good clinical documentation, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently within professional scope and established clinical protocols. Willingness to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment and respond appropriately to the medical needs of employees and guests.What Success Looks Like Employees and guests receive timely, compassionate, and appropriate medical attention. Patients are accurately assessed, appropriately treated, monitored, and referred when necessary. Medical emergencies are identified promptly, managed appropriately, and escalated when required. Patient records and clinical documentation are accurate, complete, and confidential. Medical supplies, equipment, and medications are appropriately monitored and maintained. Preventive healthcare and wellness activities are effectively supported. Patients receive clear health information and appropriate guidance on their conditions. Clinical procedures, infection prevention practices, and organizational healthcare standards are consistently followed. The Medical Officer demonstrates sound clinical judgment, professionalism, teamwork, and a strong commitment to patient care. Healthcare services provided to employees and guests contribute to a safe, healthy, and positive hospitality experience.
