Millie’s British International school was established in September, 2018. We seek an experienced Part-Time Primary Art and Design Teacher to join our team to teach one day a week.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of art education within the British curriculum and a commitment to encouraging artistic expression in young learners.
Requirements:B.A / HND Degree in Fine Arts
Must live within easy commuting distance of Jericho, Ibadan.
Minimum of 3 years teaching experience
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Package; especially Word and PowerPoint
Excellent spoken and written communications skills
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will be:An excellent teacher and subject specialist at primary level that can teach high quality art and design lessons to pupils at primary level ranging from year 1-6.
Confidently be able to teach children drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, pottery, sculpture and model making techniques
Confident in the use of computers and enthusiastic in using new technology to enhance learning.
Skilled at fostering independent, pupil-led learning
Maintain an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes artistic expression and appreciation.
Able to assess and evaluate pupils' artwork and progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
