Job Title: Partnerships & Business Development Officer
Location: Gbagada, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time Role Summary
The Partnerships & Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying and supporting business opportunities, building relationships with potential partners, and contributing to the growth and visibility of the institute. The role supports partnership development, outreach, client engagement, and revenue-generating initiatives.
Identify potential partners, corporate clients, schools, universities, NGOs, government agencies, professional organizations, and other relevant institutions. Conduct outreach to prospective partners and introduce the institute’s programs and services. Support the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships. Assist in preparing partnership proposals, presentations, quotations, and other business development materials. Follow up on partnership leads, inquiries, meetings, proposals, and prospective clients. Support the negotiation and implementation of partnership agreements and MOUs. Maintain accurate records of partners, prospects, business opportunities, and engagement activities. Assist in developing corporate training and institutional program opportunities. Represent the institute at networking events, conferences, career fairs, industry events, and other outreach activities. Conduct basic market and competitor research to identify potential business opportunities. Collaborate with the Marketing, Programs, Admissions, and Student Success teams on partnership-related activities. Prepare regular reports on business development activities, leads, partnerships, and outcomes. Maintain positive relationships with existing partners and identify opportunities for continued engagement. Support initiatives aimed at increasing student enrollment, corporate training opportunities, and institutional partnerships.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Communications, Economics, or a related field. 2 years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, customer relations, marketing, or a related role. Strong communication, networking, presentation, and relationship-management skills. Ability to identify prospects and develop business opportunities. Good negotiation and follow-up skills. Ability to prepare professional proposals, reports, and presentations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other teams. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
