 Job Title: Payroll Auditor

Location: Jabi, Abuja (FCT)

Employment Type: Full-time Role Overview

As a Payroll Auditor, you will review and verify payroll data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls for our clients. You will identify discrepancies, investigate their causes, and recommend corrective actions.

Audit payroll records, calculations, and payments for accuracy and completeness Verify tax withholdings, deductions, benefits, and statutory remittances Reconcile payroll records to the general ledger and supporting documentation Identify errors, duplicate payments, ghost employees, and other irregularities Assess payroll internal controls and recommend improvements Ensure compliance with applicable payroll, wage, and tax regulations Prepare clear audit reports and communicate findings to management and clients Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails Keep strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and client data

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field 4 to 10 years of experience in payroll auditing, payroll processing, or a related audit role Strong knowledge of payroll tax, compliance, and reconciliation processes Proficiency in Excel and experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, QuickBooks) Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work onsite in Jabi, Abuja

Experience with North American payroll (US and/or Canada) significantly increases your chances of securing this position Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIA, or CPP Experience with data analytics or audit tools
