Role Overview
The Pharmacist will play a critical role in ensuring safe, effective, and efficient medication management within the hospital.
This includes dispensing prescriptions, advising patients and clinicians on drug use, and maintaining compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately dispense prescribed medications and provide clear usage instructions.
Offer professional guidance on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
Counsel patients on both prescription and over‑the‑counter medications.
Maintain secure storage and accurate records of all dispensed drugs.
Oversee pharmacy inventory, conduct routine stock checks, and ensure availability of essential medicines.
Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Keep abreast of new developments in pharmaceutical science and practice.
Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and hospital safety protocols.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in a hospital setting.
Valid practicing license from the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
