 Job Title: Process Engineer (Oil & Gas Services)

The Process Engineer supports the Process Lead in ensuring the technical integrity of all process engineering deliverables across assigned oil and gas projects. The role focuses on process design and optimisation, ensuring that PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, process datasheets and operating philosophies fully align with the FEED, safety requirements and process performance criteria.


Key Responsibilities

Develop, review and update Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), heat and material balances and line lists for oil and gas facilities and packaged systems. Prepare process design calculations, simulations and sizing for key equipment (separators, pumps, compressors, control valves, relief devices, pipelines). Produce and maintain process datasheets, operating philosophies and control narratives in line with FEED documents and project design basis. Ensure all process deliverables comply with relevant codes, standards and client specifications, and support the Process Lead in maintaining technical integrity across projects. Participate in process safety activities including HAZID, HAZOP and risk assessments, and incorporate safety and operability requirements into designs. Provide process inputs to multi‑discipline teams (mechanical, piping, instrument, electrical, civil/structural) and support inter‑discipline checks of drawings and models. Support the review of vendor documents, package design, FAT/SAT procedures and respond to technical queries (RFIs/TQs) from clients and contractors. Assist operations and commissioning teams with process start‑up procedures, performance tests, troubleshooting and optimisation of existing facilities. Contribute to lessons learned, design improvements and standardisation of process engineering practices within the organisation.


Requirements

Bachelors` Degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline. Minimum of 4 years proven experience as a Process Engineer in oil and gas services, EPC/EPCI Hands‑on experience developing PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, process datasheets and operating philosophies for process systems. Proficiency with process simulation and design tools (e.g. HYSYS, design, and relevant international standards and codes. Strong analytical, problem‑solving and documentation skills, with high attention to detail and technical accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively within multi‑discipline project teams and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
