Job Title: Procurement Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies and policies.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality products, and reliable services.
• Prepare purchase orders and contracts in compliance with organizational and legal standards.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and adherence to agreed terms.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, invoices, and other important data.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, trends, and opportunities.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a BA / B.Sc Degree or its equivalent in Project management, Civil Engineering, any related field
• Must have 2—5 years proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing role.
• Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, ISM) is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor sourcing.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with ERP/procurement systems.
• Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and forecast purchasing needs.
