About the Role

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Port Harcourt.
• The successful candidate will oversee all procurement activities, ensuring efficient sourcing, negotiation, and timely delivery of goods and services in support of upstream oil and gas operations.
• This role requires a strong understanding of the oil & gas supply chain, vendor management, and regulatory compliance (including NCDMB and NIPEX requirements).

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end procurement processes for equipment, materials, and services.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements (NCDMB, NIPEX, DPR, etc.).
• Source, evaluate, and manage vendor performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
• Prepare and review Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure accurate documentation.
• Monitor procurement KPIs and generate periodic reports for management.
• Work closely with technical and project teams to forecast procurement needs.
• Mitigate supply chain risks through proactive planning and stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and audit readiness.
• Supervise and mentor junior procurement staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5 - 7 years of procurement experience, preferably in the upstream oil & gas sector.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, PMP) are an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of NIPEX, NCDMB guidelines, and local content requirements.
• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
