Responsibilities and Tasks
Product Planning
Assist in broadening the product's market reach by formulating a product lineup operational strategy, new model introduction/product/EOL model phase-out plan, and model mix/pricing strategy.
Aid in optimizing business objectives and minimizing losses through product lifecycle management and developing pricing tactics to achieve product-specific business targets.
Serve as a liaison with HQ and RHQ; Execute HQ-mandated innovation initiatives and ensure internal team alignment.
Portfolio management; Develop and oversee the lineup portfolio plan, spearhead efficiency enhancement efforts, and address market concerns.
Introduction management
Establish product/service launch schedules by evaluating new model target quantities and profitability, in collaboration with the marketing team.
Pricing Strategy; Contribute to the development of pricing strategies for each segment and model. Create, implement, maintain, and monitor a comprehensive Consumer Electronics marketing blueprint to enhance CE capabilities, usage, and product engagement
Phaseout management
Formulate strategies to reduce excess materials when discontinuing a product by determining appropriate phaseout timelines and plans for utilizing remaining materials.
Industry analysis; Devise and manage product roadmaps and multi-generation product plans to define and communicate future product lines that meet consumer expectations.
Assist the team in establishing and maintaining DX standards and processes for creating and developing solutions that address consumer needs.
Establish key performance indicators and implement product acceptance criteria, targets, retail uptake and sell-through levels, model warranty measures, analytics, and fault feedback to gauge success.
Provide technical expertise and educate internal and external stakeholders throughout the organization on emerging trends, new devices, and other mobile-related developments.
Offer necessary support to KAMS in the marketing management role of developing realistic sell-in/sell-through targets.
Product education
Support product training, research (for Account Manager, Channel Manager, Samsung Retail Representative, SFMT Samsung Field Management Team) and develop methods to stay informed about emerging trends and technologies, positioning CE as industry leaders in the consumer electronics domain.
Marketing approach
Proactively develop and assess quarterly marketing strategy plans in conjunction with the marketing team to counter competition and ensure we maintain top-of-mind awareness and preferred market share across all consumer metrics.
Expertise, Abilities, and Experience required for this Position
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Electronics, Engineering, Trade Studies, Mechanical Engineering, or Economics
8+ years of experience in Product Management and 2 years in Account Management.
Demonstrated experience in developing structured plans and processes
Familiarity with Samsung products will be beneficial;
Pricing strategy formulation and impact analysis of pricing adjustments
Market entry strategy development
Product lineup strategy
Business value assessment of product launch timing
Comprehension of product development processes
Extensive knowledge of Consumer Electronics products: Home appliances, Visual display
Capability to determine product discontinuation
