Work Days: Monday - Friday Salary: ₦300,000 net per month (plus benefits) Job Brief

The Production & Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end factory operations at Dios Dlite, ensuring efficient production output, consistent product quality, inventory readiness, regulatory compliance, and accurate operational data reporting. This role provides leadership across production planning, quality enforcement, inventory coordination, equipment readiness, hygiene, and documentation. The role ensures that all products are manufactured, stored, and released in line with approved SOPs, food safety standards, and business targets, while maintaining high levels of discipline, accuracy, and accountability across teams.

Job Responsibilities

Production Planning, Execution & Asset Readiness:

Develop and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on demand and inventory availability. Ensure production targets are achieved with minimal variance, waste, or downtime. Supervise the Production Lead to ensure smooth execution across all shifts. Ensure all production activities strictly follow approved SOPs and batch procedures. Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all production equipment and ensure faults are escalated and resolved promptly to avoid downtime.Approve raw material usage and ensure accurate batch traceability for all SKUs.

Quality Assurance, Batch Integrity & Compliance:

Enforce quality management systems including GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards. Review and approve Quality Control reports and batch release documentation before any product leaves the factory. Ensure continuous inspection of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Lead root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for all quality deviations. Ensure proper labelling, batch coding, expiry dating, and product documentation. Prepare the factory for regulatory inspections and ensure zero compliance breaches.


Inventory Coordination & Material Flow:

Supervise the Inventory Officer to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging materials for production. Ensure accuracy of inventory records and physical stock through regular reconciliation. Ensure FIFO principles are strictly followed for finished goods. Ensure returns (fresh and expiry) are properly logged, evaluated, and documented with QC input. Prevent production disruptions caused by poor material planning or inventory inaccuracies.

Hygiene, Safety & Facility Standards:

Enforce hygiene protocols, sanitation schedules, and PPE compliance across all factory staff. Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready production and storage environments at all times. Ensure safety procedures are followed to minimize accidents and operational risks. Address hygiene or safety non-compliance immediately and document corrective actions.


Team Leadership & Performance Management:

Supervise and develop the Production Lead, Quality Control Officer, Inventory Officer, and hygiene staff. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and training as required. Promote teamwork, discipline, and accountability across production, QC, and inventory functions. Ensure attendance, punctuality, and professionalism across all factory staff.

Reporting, Documentation & ERP Data Integrity:

Ensure all production, quality, and inventory activities are accurately documented and updated on the ERP system within defined timelines. Enforce data accuracy and completeness across all operational records. Submit timely daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to management. Maintain updated SOPs, logs, manuals, and compliance documentation. Use data insights to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Job Requirements

BSc Degree in Food Science or Food and Nutrition. 8+ years experience in the manufacturing industry (at least 4 years in food manufacturing). At least 4 years of leadership/management experience. Professional Certification such as HACCP, CPFM. Experience in Handling Regulatory bodies (is a plus). Strong knowledge of food safety, GMP, HACCP, and production operations. Team leadership and process management skills.
