We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Production Engineer / Manager - Agrochemical Formulation Plant

Location: Along Lagos Ibadan expressway, Close to Magboro or Mountain of Fire Ministry (MFM) Church - Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • To lead and manage the production team to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective manufacturing of products while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the production team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and safety.

Production Planning & Execution:

  • Oversee daily production operations to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Collaborate with planning, procurement, and logistics to ensure smooth workflow.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies as appropriate.

Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address non-conformities.

Health & Safety:

  • Promote and enforce a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Budget & Cost Control:

  • Manage production budgets and control costs without compromising quality.
  • Monitor KPIs and report on performance metrics.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Second Class Upper Division) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Operations Management, or related fields
  • 5+ years of experience in a production leadership role, preferably in the agrochemical industry.
  • Experience in a chemical/herbicide formulation plant would be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of production management systems and methodologies.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and improving operational performance.
  • Age Requirement: 35 – 45 Years.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in production software and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
