Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Production Manager to oversee our production activities and ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and supervising all production activities within the factory. The person will ensure production targets are achieved, product quality is maintained, machines are properly managed, and production is carried out safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate should have experience in manufacturing, preferably in smartcard production, printing, plastic card production, security printing, or related industries.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Supervision:Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities.
Ensure production schedules are followed and targets are achieved.
Monitor production output to ensure timely delivery of products.
Coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth workflow.
Smartcard Manufacturing Operations:Supervise smartcard manufacturing processes including card printing, personalization, chip embedding, packaging, and quality checks.
Ensure machines and equipment are properly utilized for maximum output.
Monitor machine performance and report faults for quick repairs.
Reduce downtime and improve production efficiency.
Quality Control & Process Improvement:Work closely with the QC/QA team to maintain product quality standards.
Ensure all products meet company and customer requirements.
Monitor production defects and take corrective action.
Identify ways to reduce waste and improve production processes.
Team Management:Supervise production staff and ensure proper work coordination.
Ensure workers follow company policies and safety procedures.
Train and guide production staff for better performance.
Monitor staff attendance, discipline, and productivity.
Inventory & Material Management:Monitor the use of raw materials to avoid waste.
Ensure production materials are available when needed.
Work with the store and procurement team for proper stock management.
Keep accurate production records and reports.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
Ensure factory safety rules are followed at all times.
Maintain a clean and safe production environment.
Ensure compliance with operational and manufacturing standards.
RequirementsBachelor’s Degree or HND in Production Management, Management, Business Administration or related field.
Minimum of 5 years working experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in smartcard manufacturing, plastic card production, commercial printing, security printing, packaging, or related manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of production planning and factory operations.
Ability to supervise teams and manage production schedules.
Good problem-solving and decision making skills.
Strong attention to quality and details.
Good report writing and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
