Job Title: Production Manager (Lubricant)

Location: Onitsha, Anambra

Reports To: Head, Manufacturing

Position Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager (Lubricant Blending) to join our manufacturing team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, maintenance, and operations withinmanufacturing sectors, with cognate experience in Lubricant blending and manufacturing industry. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieveset monthly production target, optimize machine output, maintainequipment utilization, and eliminate production waste
  • Lead and superviseproduction teams ensuringshift coverage, discipline, and productivity improvement through structured performance management.
  • Implement lean manufacturing practicesto reduce downtime and improve overall production efficiency. 
  • Manage energy consumption and production costs without compromising output or quality.
  • MaintainPPE compliance, achievezero fatalities, and sustain record safety incident annuallywhile ensuring strict adherence toGMP and workplace safety standards.
  • Ensureaccurate production, downtime, and material usage reports, submitted daily/weekly/monthly to Management within required timelines. 
  • Driveprocess optimization initiativesthat deliverminimum 10% improvements in productivity, quality, or cost efficiency annually.
  • Coordinate with engineering/maintenance teams to achieve≥95% machine availabilityand ensuretimely preventive maintenance execution.
  • Maintainoptimal raw material availability (≥30 days stock level)while preventingstock-outs and limiting excess inventory to ≤10% variance. 
  •  Perform additional operational assignments as directed by management while ensuring full compliance with company policies and manufacturing standards.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or HND in Mechanical/Chemical/Production Engineering or other relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a well-structured manufacturing industry in similar capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Product specifications (eg: API, SAE, ACEA).
  • Familiarity with industry materials (e.g.HDPE), codes, standards (eg: ISO), utilities and machinery/equipment first aid (e.g.: Compressors, Chillers, etc.) 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common Machinery and equipment errors, to ensure a hitch free production operations.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and maintenance management systems is an advantage.
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies is desirable.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Remuneration
Above Industry Standard.
