 Job Title: Production Superintendent - Plastic Manufacturing Company

Location: Onitsha, Anambra

Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Production Superintendent to coordinate and oversee daily production activities. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that production targets are achieved, manpower is effectively managed, machines are properly utilized and production activities are carried out in line with established quality and operational standards.


Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise daily production activities across assigned production sections. Ensure production targets are communicated and achieved. Monitor operators, supervisors and production personnel to ensure effective performance. Ensure proper manpower allocation and utilization. Monitor machine performance and promptly escalate operational or technical issues. Track production output, downtime, rejects, material usage and wastage. Ensure accurate production records and reports are maintained. Work closely with Maintenance and Quality Control teams to minimize downtime and quality defects. Enforce compliance with production procedures, safety standards and company policies. Identify operational challenges and recommend practical solutions for improvement. Provide regular reports on production performance to Management.


Requirements

B.Sc./HND in Engineering, Production Management or a related discipline. Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience supervising production teams is highly desirable. Experience in plastic manufacturing, injection moulding or blow moulding operations will be an advantage. Strong knowledge of production planning, manpower management and performance monitoring. Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding production targets. Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. Must be hands-on and capable of managing activities on the production floor.
