Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to monitor product quality, food safety, hygiene, and GMP compliance throughout the production process.
The successful candidate will conduct inspections and testing, identify non-conformities, maintain accurate quality records, and ensure that only products meeting approved specifications proceed to release.
Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor production processes, raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products for compliance with quality standards.
Conduct routine sampling, inspection, and physical, chemical, or microbiological tests as required.
Ensure compliance with GMP, hygiene, HACCP, and food-safety requirements on the production floor.
Identify, document, isolate, and escalate non-conforming products and quality deviations.
Maintain accurate inspection, testing, and quality-control records and prepare routine reports.
Support investigations, corrective and preventive actions, internal audits, and continuous quality improvement.
Work closely with Production and QA teams to resolve quality and food-safety issues promptly.
Qualifications & Requirements
B.Sc./HND in Microbiology, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
Previous experience in Quality Control, laboratory work, or production monitoring, preferably within FMCG or food manufacturing.
Practical knowledge of sampling, testing, GMP, HACCP, hygiene, and quality documentation.
Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, integrity, and good communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production-floor environment.
