Locations: Festival Mall - Festac; Ikeja City Mall - Ikeja; Circle Mall - Lekki; and Novarre Lekki Mall - Sangotedo, Lagos

A Retail Assistant Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a retail store, ensuring smooth business processes, maximizing sales, and delivering excellent customer service. They manage staff, inventory, store appearance, and operational efficiency while implementing strategies to improve revenue and customer experience.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve store targets. Analyze sales performance and identify areas for improvement. Implement promotions, discounts, and marketing campaigns to drive sales. Monitor competitor pricing and market trends.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations professionally. Train staff in customer service best practices. Maintain a welcoming and engaging store environment.

Recruit, train, and mentor sales associates. Schedule shifts and manage staff productivity. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback. Foster a team-oriented culture with clear communication.

Ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment. Monitor and reduce stock shrinkage (theft, damage, mismanagement). Coordinate with suppliers and warehouse teams for deliveries. Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock turnover.

Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational SOPs. Oversee cash handling, POS operations, and daily sales reconciliation. Conduct regular store audits and resolve operational issues.

Generate sales, inventory, and customer reports for management. Analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) to identify trends. Provide insights and recommendations to improve store performance. Implement business intelligence tools for data-driven decision-making.

Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related discipline is preferred.

Experience (What You Have Done):

Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail management. Demonstrated experience in supervising teams and supporting day-to-day retail operations. Experience driving sales performance and delivering excellent customer service. Experience using retail management systems for point-of-sale (POS) transactions, inventory management, and customer relationship management (CRM).

Candidate should possess atleast 3+ years of experience in retail management. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent sales and customer service abilities. Proficiency in retail management software (POS, inventory, CRM). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Knowledge (What You Must Know):

Good understanding of retail operations, sales processes, and customer service practices. Knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures. Familiarity with retail management software, including POS, inventory management, and CRM systems. Understanding of sales targets, performance monitoring, and customer engagement. Interest in sports and fashion is desirable.

Remuneration: N210,000 - 220,000 monthly net. Monthly Performance Incentive 13th Month Monthly Call and Data Allowance Retail Voucher benefit Statutory Benefit (HMO, GLI , Pension)
