Job Title: Machine Operator - Seasoning Cube (Pressing/Wrapping Machine)

Location: Sango Ota, Ogun

Job Description

• The Machine Operator will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the seasoning cube pressing/wrapping machine. This includes machine setup, monitoring performance, adjusting settings, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• The role also requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintenance of a clean, organized production environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the seasoning cube manufacturing machine for operation by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor machine operations to ensure efficiency and product quality.
• Adjust machine settings/parameters to optimize production and minimize defects.
• Conduct routine quality checks to ensure cubes meet specifications and standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions to reduce downtime.
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance (cleaning, lubricating, part replacement).
• Maintain proper documentation of production activities, including outputs, machine settings, and quality checks.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols to prevent accidents.
• Collaborate with supervisors, technicians, and team members to resolve production challenges.
• Suggest and support process improvement initiatives for higher efficiency.
• Follow cleaning procedures to maintain hygiene in the production area.
• Adhere to GMP standards at all times.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Achievement of targeted production output.
• Reduction in percentage of defective cubes.
• Minimization of material wastage during wrapping.
• Consistent machine uptime and performance.

Requirements

• Technical Training Institute Certification (or equivalent in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Technology).
• Additional training in machine operation or maintenance will be an advantage.

Work Experience:

• Prior experience operating machines in a food manufacturing plant.
• Hands-on experience with seasoning cube production machinery is an added advantage.
• Strong technical and mechanical skills for machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with food industry standards and quality control processes.

Salary
N120,000 - N150,000 Monthly.
