 Job Title: Security Officer

Locations: Oniru, Victoria Island - Lagos

Shift: Rotational Shift

Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant, trustworthy, and disciplined Security Officer to protect a project site, personnel, materials, and equipment. This role is ideal for an experienced security professional who is physically fit, alert, and comfortable working both day and night shifts.

Control and monitor all entry and exit points. Verify identification and authorization before allowing access. Conduct regular patrols of the site, perimeter, storage areas, and key structures. Inspect vehicles entering and leaving the site. Protect materials, equipment, and company property from theft or damage. Maintain accurate occurrence logs covering visitors, deliveries, incidents, and other notable events. Receive and record visitors and deliveries and notify relevant personnel. Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms. Enforce site rules, restricted-area access, PPE requirements, and after-hours protocols. Report suspicious activities, security risks, and incidents immediately to the Construction Manager. Conduct proper shift handovers and communicate outstanding issues to the incoming security officer.

Minimum 2 years' experience in a security role. Experience in a construction site, industrial facility, or gated estate is an advantage. Valid security licence/certification from a recognized Nigerian security training institution. Physically fit and able to conduct regular patrols and stand for extended periods. Able to read, write, and maintain clear and accurate occurrence records. Alert, observant, honest, and trustworthy. Calm and professional when handling difficult situations. Willing and available to work 12-hour rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. Must be able to report to the site for the full duration of assigned shifts. Must reside close to Oniru/Victoria Island.
