Job Title: Senior Optometrist
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Core Requirements
Strong clinical skills in comprehensive eye examinations, refraction, diagnosis, and management of ocular conditions.
Proficiency in advanced diagnostic equipment, including OCT, visual field testing, tonometry, and retinal imaging.
Demonstrated ability to identify, monitor and manage patients with complex eye conditions.
Excellent clinical judgement, patient communication and record-keeping.
Ability to lead and mentor junior optometrists and maintain high clinical standards.
Current professional registration and licence to practise in Nigeria.
Preferred Clinical Specialisations
Candidates with advanced experience in one or more of the following areas are particularly desirable:Glaucoma: Screening, diagnosis, monitoring and co-management.
Macular Degeneration: Early detection, OCT interpretation and ongoing monitoring.
Cataracts: Pre-operative assessment and post-operative co-management.
Paediatric Optometry: Children's vision assessments, binocular vision and myopia management.
Diabetic Eye Care: Retinal screening, early detection and monitoring of diabetic eye disease.
Contact Lenses: Advanced fitting, including toric, multifocal and specialty lenses.
Ideal Candidate:Clinically confident, experienced and committed to evidence-based eye care.
Strong leadership qualities with a patient-centred approach.
Comfortable working in a modern, technology-equipped eye clinic.
Interested in professional development and contributing to the growth of the client's clinical services.
