Position Summary:


The Subject Teacher is responsible for providing educational instruction to students in a particular grade level or subject area. They develop lesson plans, evaluate student progress, and cultivate a conducive learning environment.


Duties:


Present engaging and effective lessons in the assigned subject to secondary school students.
Establish a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes learning and mutual respect.
Serve as a mentor and guide to students, fostering their academic and personal development.
Work in conjunction with other educators, staff members, and parents to enhance the overall educational experience.
Participate in school activities beyond classroom instruction, such as extracurricular programs and committees.


Primary Responsibilities:


Curriculum Planning: Formulate and execute lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and address student needs.
Teaching: Employ diverse instructional methods and resources to clearly explain concepts and maintain student engagement.
Evaluation: Create and administer tests, quizzes, and assignments to assess student comprehension and progress.
Guidance: Offer timely and constructive feedback to students to facilitate improvement.
Classroom Management: Uphold discipline and create a secure, supportive learning environment.
Documentation: Maintain precise records of attendance, grades, and student conduct.
Student Assistance: Identify students requiring additional support and provide extra help or recommend appropriate resources.
Professional Growth: Engage in workshops, training sessions, and staff meetings to stay current with teaching strategies and subject knowledge.
Parent Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians regarding student performance and behavior.
School Participation: Take part in school events, meetings, and activities that contribute to the school community.


Requirements:


Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area (e.g., Mathematics, English, Science).
Teaching certification or license as mandated by the education board or country.
Previous teaching experience at the secondary school level is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of the subject matter and curriculum requirements.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools effectively.
Patience, creativity, and strong organizational skills.
