We are a prominent player in the building materials and ceramics manufacturing industry, dedicated to excellence, innovation, and sustainability. As we expand our team, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Purchase Manager to lead procurement operations at our Ajaokuta Factory.

Primary Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and establish appropriate processes for good governance
Guarantee timely and well-controlled inward and outward operations
Oversee truck loading in accordance with sales orders
Ensure ERP compliance is maintained
Supervise drivers and loaders
Prevent breakages in the warehouse and ensure proper stock management
Conduct regular physical verifications
Maintain proper stock management practices
Ensure timely ERP entries are made
Possess experience with bar coding, stretch hood, and related technologies

Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/warehousing environment
Proficient computer skills
Analytical mindset with a techno-commercial approach
Strong numerical and analytical abilities, with a proven track record of effective negotiation and cost-saving initiatives/strategic sourcing.
In-depth knowledge of warehouse processes and vendor management.
Experience in managing and developing Store teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
